while I love working with new, lovely fabrics, I have to admit that my heart skips a beat when I happen upon a once-loved, now-trashed vintage fabric.
Scored a double-knit polyester print fabric in the amazing free pile at the Tacoma County Fair (big thanks to whoever released it into the wild).
There was *just* enough for the bottom of this dress (had to piece one of the 6 panels out of scraps = literally 5 square inches of fabric left over when I was done!), so I paired it with some scrap yardage of a coordinating print ("Sea Debris") in cotton broadcloth = wearable comfort + a nicely crisp collar.
Finished off the look with some vintage 60's buttons & a tie-belt = my new favorite FreePile Dress!
